Paloma Beach by Private Boat:
The Classic Elegance of Cap Ferrat
A green headland, an intimate cove and views across the water toward Beaulieu and Èze. Discover Paloma as part of your private charter from Beaulieu-sur-Mer.
Pines behind you. The cliffs of Èze across the water.
Paloma brings together many of the things people imagine when they picture Cap Ferrat: Mediterranean greenery, villas near the shore and a beautiful stretch of sea.
The cove faces east from the Saint-Hospice side of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, looking across toward Beaulieu and the steep landscape below Èze.
From aboard the boat, the attraction is the relationship between those two shores. Close by, the headland feels green and intimate. Across the water, the mountains give the view its scale.
For guests who want to experience Cap Ferrat itself, Paloma is an area worth discussing when planning a private boat day.
A more intimate side of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat
Dense vegetation and villas cover the headland around Paloma. The cove has a sense of enclosure without the towering cliff walls that define some other Riviera bays.
It is a place to appreciate the smaller details: the trees near the shoreline, the shape of the coast and the changing view as the boat approaches.
You do not need a famous restaurant or a celebrity story to enjoy it. Give the setting time, and the reason people are drawn to this corner of Cap Ferrat becomes clear.
A green coastal setting
Enjoy the vegetation and villas along the Saint-Hospice shoreline. Paloma offers a close view of the peninsula’s coastal character.
Beaulieu and Èze beyond
Look across the water toward the mainland and its steep backdrop. The view connects Cap Ferrat with the wider Riviera landscape.
Time to enjoy the cove
Consider a scenic pause or a swim where appropriate. The experience can be simple: a beautiful setting and time together.
Some Riviera moments need very little: a lovely stretch of coast and enough time to appreciate it.
Swimming around Paloma
Paloma can appeal to guests who want a swimming stop with a distinctly Cap Ferrat setting. Tell us if this kind of coastal scenery is a priority for your group.
Where conditions and local rules allow, your skipper can select an appropriate permitted stopping place. Enjoy time in the water, then relax aboard with the view around you.
Staying aboard is equally welcome. Some guests swim, while others prefer to enjoy the shade, take photographs or simply watch the coast.
The best stopping place depends on the day
An intimate-looking cove does not guarantee calm water. Wind direction, swell, boat traffic and local restrictions all influence where a stop is appropriate.
Your skipper also considers the seabed and the protection of Posidonia seagrass. We do not promise an exact anchorage or swimming position in advance.
If conditions favor another part of the coastline, your skipper can recommend a suitable alternative.
Paloma’s history and the cove today
The original Paloma Beach establishment dated from 1948. Over the decades, its name became associated with the Riviera’s cultural and social life.
The original private beach club and restaurant have now permanently closed, according to the operator’s own website. We do not offer reservations at that former establishment.
The cove and its coastal setting remain the focus of a boat visit. The public beach is distinct from the former private business, with any shore access subject to the arrangements and restrictions applying at the time.
Want a waterfront restaurant as well?
Tell us when planning your charter. A scenic visit around Paloma can be considered alongside lunch at another suitable venue on your agreed route.
We can discuss restaurant options, reservations and practical access, with any additional charges confirmed before arrangements are made.
Alternatively, keep the day aboard and discuss bringing lunch. L’Esquinade has dining space, refrigeration and kitchenette facilities.
Make Paloma part of your own Cap Ferrat itinerary
A rewarding charter does not have to reach the farthest destination. Staying around Beaulieu and Cap Ferrat can leave more of the day for swimming and relaxing.
Paloma can also be considered within a wider route, with the order of your stops chosen around conditions and your plans for the day.
-
Begin in Beaulieu-sur-Mer
Meet your skipper and settle aboard L’Esquinade. Discuss the day’s conditions and your priorities for swimming, scenery and lunch.
-
Discover the Saint-Hospice coastline
Enjoy the approach toward the Paloma area, taking in the greenery, villas and views back toward Beaulieu and Èze.
-
Pause where the conditions allow
Your skipper chooses a suitable permitted location. Swim, relax aboard or simply enjoy the setting before continuing.
-
Follow the pace you have chosen
Explore more of Cap Ferrat, combine the area with another agreed destination, or make time for lunch. Leave enough space in the itinerary to enjoy each stop.
Prefer more time in one beautiful area?
Say so from the start. We can discuss an itinerary centered on Cap Ferrat rather than filling the day with longer stretches of cruising. The right balance depends on your group.

Where is Paloma Beach?
Paloma lies in an east-facing cove on the Saint-Hospice side of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, looking toward Beaulieu and Èze.
Does the charter depart from Paloma?
No. The charter described here departs from Beaulieu-sur-Mer near Nice. Paloma is an area to consider within your private boat itinerary.
Can we swim around Paloma?
A swimming stop may be possible at a suitable permitted location. Your skipper assesses conditions, local restrictions and boat traffic before choosing where to stop.
Is the original Paloma Beach restaurant open?
No. The original operator confirms that the private beach club and restaurant have permanently closed. We do not arrange bookings at the former establishment.
Is the cove the same as the private beach club?
No. The coastal location and public beach are distinct from the former private business. A boat visit focuses on the setting and the surrounding coastline.

Yes, subject to availability and suitable arrangements. We can discuss a restaurant that fits your wider itinerary or help you plan lunch aboard.
Can we spend most of the day around Cap Ferrat?
Yes. You can discuss an itinerary focused on the peninsula and nearby coastline, with more time for swimming and less time traveling farther.
What happens if Paloma is not suitable on the day?
Your skipper can recommend an alternative permitted stopping place based on the conditions and your group’s priorities.
